As much as it’s nice to get away for a week or longer, a short break away for a night or two or even three, is a great way to visit a city, or even a nice hotel which can sometimes be a destaination in it’s self.
When we go a for a short break we usually try to stay somewhere central, or at least close to public transport. If possible we always book a very nice place to eat and find a bar which is that little bit different, or better still a local place void of too many tourists.
However a short break also means somewhere close to home, after all you could have a short break in New York – but that’s a long way from home, so there for that would be classed as a Journey 🙂
